  1. “And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was a valiant man of Kabzeel, a doer of
great deeds. He struck down two ariels of Moab. He also went down and struck down a lion in a pit on a day when snow had fallen.”
    (2 Samuel 23:20 ESV)

Virginia and North Carolina received a blanket of white Sunday night. Myrtle
Beach didn’t see any of the white stuff. Although, my bike ride in 41 degree
weather against a stiff wind Monday morning, felt plenty cold. It reminded
    me of the verse above.

Benaiah faced a lion on a snowy day. Rather than flee at the sight of the
beast, or leave it for someone else to battle, Benaiah takes action. He is not a victim to the roar before him. He
is a victor who has the bragging rights as the one who “struck down a lion
in a pit on a day when snow had fallen.”

    Don’t lose hope; take action,
